Swimming Pool Credit Program Has Ended

HWU has ended the program of offering a one-time-a-year sewer credit to customers for filling a swimming pool, effective December 31, 2012.

There are other options available to avoid paying sewer charges on water used to fill a swimming pool.  Customers can buy swimming pool water from a private hauler, or purchase a separate tap from HWU for irrigation purposes.  With an irrigation tap, customers can use water for any purpose as long as it is not connected to the house and that water is not returned to the sewer.
