 REQUEST PROCEDURE

A request for a temporary fire hydrant meter shall be made by filling out a request form at the System Operations Center between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.  The Henderson Water Utility will schedule the date and time of installation of the temporary meter.

The rental fee will be calculated from the time the meter is installed by Henderson Water Utility until the customer, or a representative of the customer, calls the System Operations Center at 230 N. Alvasia Street (270-826-2824) and states that they are finished with the fire hydrant meter.  The call must be received between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.  If a call is not received by Friday indicating that the meter is no longer needed the rental fee will be charged for Saturday and Sunday.

Any Henderson Water Utility equipment and tools left at the site (meter, wrench, etc.) for the customer to use are the responsibility of the customer until the equipment is picked up by Henderson Water Utility.  The customer is responsible for the replacement cost of any piece of equipment or tool lost or damaged while at the site.

The customer will be invoiced for the charges listed above depending on whether the meter is used for residential or commercial purposes.  Failure to pay the invoice by the due date may result in the discontinuation of utility services until the invoice is paid in full.
