CAD TECHNICIAN -

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Chief Engineer

JOB OBJECTIVE:
To perform Computer Aided
Drafting and provide other assistance to Engineers as needed.
|

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
-
Create
and edit drawings to meet specifications utilizing CAD
-
Provide needed drawings to
requestors as approved by Chief Engineer
-
Assist Chief Engineer with
project tasks as assigned
-
Perform database entry
-
Classify and file
engineering drawings
-
Ensure that all work is
carried out in a safe and efficient manner
-
Perform other duties as
assigned/needed
-
Maintain a positive
attitude with team/unit
-
Maintain good public
relations

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job
successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
satisfactorily. Must have excellent computer knowledge and problem solving
skills. Must have knowledge of drafting and experience with CAD. Must have
the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with
team/unit.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Associates degree in Computer
Aided Drafting or closely related field. Six (6) months of experience
working with CAD in a technical setting preferred. Must be knowledgeable in
advanced CAD techniques. Must be knowledgeable in Autodesk AutoCAD 2000 r14
or higher. Or, any other equivalent combination of education, training, and
experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for
the job (as approved by the Utility).

PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES:
Pass alcohol and drug
screening test. Based on pre-employment physical examination and
demonstration through job performance is physically able to perform the
essential functions of the position. Reasonable accommodations may be made

LICENSING
OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Valid
driver's license. CAD Certification may be required.
