Work continues on Green Street

Henderson Water Utility continues to install a new 4-inch sewer main at Fair Street, and work also continues in the outside eastbound lane of South Green Street near Ragan Avenue.

The construction near Ragan Avenue is for the installation of a series of stormwater intakes that will carry stormwater to Canoe Creek.

The inside eastbound lane of Green Street will remain open to traffic at both construction locations.  Both westbound lanes will remain open to traffic throughout the construction areas.

The work is necessary for the utility relocation portion of the Sand Lane widening project.

Eastbound traffic will merge to the inside lane west of Fair Street and merge a second time to the inside lane near Sureway.  The westbound lanes will not be restricted, although motorists should slow down and drive carefully.
