
Tom Williams, P.E., is the current General Manager of HWU, serving since October 2013. Tom is a nearly lifelong resident of Henderson, and was previously the HWU Director of Engineering, a post he held since June 2010.
Tom has extensive experience in civil engineering design and management. Immediately prior to his employment with HWU, Tom served as Area Manager for American Water in Evansville, Indiana, where he had primary responsibility for the Evansville system under AW’s contract management of the wastewater, customer service & billing and combined engineering departments.
Prior to that, he served in various posts in Evansville and Owensboro, in wastewater planning and engineering, highway design, land development and engineering management. Among those positions were a stint as City Engineer for the City of Evansville, under the Frank F. McDonald administration. He was also a Vice President and part owner of Johnson, Depp & Quisenberry, a consulting engineering firm in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Tom earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Kentucky in 1979, and a Master of Business Administration degree from Murray State University in 1989. He is married and has two adult children.
